Jerry Talandis Jr.

Jerry Talandis Jr. has been teaching English in Japan since 1993 in various contexts, from primary to tertiary levels. He has been active in JALT Publications since 1999, and is currently serving as Pubs Board Chair. His research interests include pragmatics, professional development, humanistic language teaching, and action research. He is currently an associate professor at the University of Toyama and also teaches part-time at Chukyo University in Nagoya.

Bruno Vannieu

Bruno Vannieu has been teaching French since 1992, most of it in Japan. He has been active since 1999 in teacher training to both French and English teachers. He is a co-author of ten French and English language textbooks, and of numerous articles on conversation teaching. His research has been centered on classroom management and the pragmatics of conversation. He teaches at the School of Languages and Communication at Kobe University.
